What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Okay for everyday driving
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Bluewin UHP grips well on dry roads.

Decent for the price
Good in town and on the motorway alike. Versatile tyre. Had these through a full season now. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.

Handles well
Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in.
