What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Trusted Vredestein quality
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Quatrac PRO+ grips well on dry roads. My mechanic recommended Vredestein and he was right.

Quiet and comfortable
Had these through a full season now. Wear is minimal and performance hasn't dropped. Second set of Vredestein on this car. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.
