What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

No complaints so far
Fitted them at a mate's garage. Straightforward job and they've been faultless since. Comfortable over rough surfaces. Holds well in snow and slush.

Impressed so far
Bought on price, staying for the quality. The Wintrac Pro+ punches above its weight. Switched from a budget brand to the Wintrac Pro+ — the difference in braking is obvious. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama. Took a few hundred km to bed in.

Good, not perfect
Comfortable over rough surfaces. My old set used to thump over every bump. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama.
