Description

Uses: Grand and mid-tourers, luxury cars, premium compact cars

Benefits

Features

Asymmetric tread pattern

Inside: Fine-tuned stiffness for maximum driving comfort

Exterior: Realisation of high stiffness through wide, self-stabilising tread blocks

Excellent straight-line performance guarantees maximum stability

Construction: The design of the AE51 is characterised by low weight and high durability.

1. Multi-layer rubber for more economy

2. Belt cover

3. Turn-up carcass construction

4. Bead filler

The new design improves the overall performance balance as well as high-speed stability. The result is sharp steering response and a solid feel that the rider can feel.
Advanced design achieves both low weight and high durability
Emphasising driving comfort on the inside and steering stability on the outside. The rigidity of the inner shoulder was adjusted with fine grooves in the direction of the rolling circumference to guarantee a smoother ride and greater comfort. For the wide rib on the outer shoulder, a blind groove has been added to increase stability.
High-speed driving stability
Dependable wet grip
Newly developed, highly rigid, asymmetric tread pattern for sporty driving
Optimized tread block contour

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Fitted and forgotten
Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set. Bought on price, staying for the quality.

Quiet and comfortable
Second set of Yokohama on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here.

Does the job well
Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set. Good summer tyre for the money. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Strong performer
My mechanic recommended Yokohama and he was right. Quiet, stable, no complaints. Stable and precise in summer heat.
