What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Worth the money
Good balance of comfort and handling. Would buy again. Holds well in snow and slush. Not the last word in steering feel.

Quality you can feel
Third car I've run on Yokohama. Consistent quality every time.

Strong performer
Had them fitted last month. Wet grip is confidence-inspiring and they look the part too. Handles standing water better than my previous set.

Worth the money
Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama. Not the last word in steering feel.

No complaints so far
A sensible buy. Not sporty, but safe and quiet. Fitted before a long road trip. Felt secure on icy morning roads.

Decent for the price
Bought on price, staying for the quality. The BluEarth-Winter (V906) SUV punches above its weight. Comfortable over rough surfaces.
