As a summer tyre, the Geolandar X-AT G016 POR is tuned for warm conditions: a firm tread compound and a pattern built for stable dry handling and short braking distances. On wet roads the grooves channel water away quickly to keep the contact patch working.

What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Good grip in the wet
Fine for the price. Slightly more road noise than I hoped on coarse asphalt. Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair.

Good grip in the wet
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Geolandar X-AT G016 POR grips well on dry roads. My mechanic recommended Yokohama and he was right.
