What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

Strong performer
Third car I've run on Austone. Consistent quality every time. Bought a full set of Austone for the family car. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Confidence in corners
Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Trusted Austone quality
Switched from a budget brand to the SP 401 — the difference in braking is obvious. Good balance of comfort and handling.

Braking feels secure
Handles standing water better than my previous set. Feel much safer in autumn rain. Good summer tyre for the money.
