The advantages of Austone SP701:

The Austone SP701 fulfils all requirements and standards of the European markets and offers an unbeatable price-performance-ratio at the same time.

Asymmetric tread design and dynamic block, closed and decreased lateral grooves guarantee perfect, whisper-quiet performance
Four wide longitudinal grooves provide outstanding drainage performance
The thread with variable inclination reduces resonance noise; the large block design guarantees a precise driving experience

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Quiet and comfortable
Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Decent tyre at a fair price. Took a few hundred km to bed in.

Braking feels secure
Second set of Austone on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. Early days, but first impressions are very good. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Quiet and comfortable
Fitted them at a mate's garage. Straightforward job and they've been faultless since.

Solid summer tyre
Good summer tyre for the money. Rolling noise is low and braking feels predictable. Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair.

Bought on price, staying for the quality. The SP 701 punches above its weight. Good in town and on the motorway alike. Stable and precise in summer heat.
