M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Ride comfort is the standout. Long journeys feel less tiring now. Good balance of comfort and handling. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.

Good grip in the wet
Driven about 3,000 km on these so far. Wear looks even and grip is consistent. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.

Good all-rounder
The car feels more stable in crosswinds since fitting these. My mechanic recommended Berlin Tires and he was right. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.
