Description

The Potenza S001 stands for pure sporting performance with superior grip and precise response. The tyre offers stability and optimum roadholding at high speeds, excellent traction and safe wet handling.

This tyre uses the RFT system. This means that, should there be a sudden loss of air, the tyre can still be controlled without any problems, mobility is retained, and it is not necessary to change the tyre on narrow or busy roads. Tyres with the RFT technology may only be used on cars with a functioning air pressure check system.

Superb traction and handling in wet conditions
High speed stability and optimal road holding
Pure sporty performance combined with outstanding grip and precise steering response

What the tyre markings mean

RFT: Run-flat technologyReinforced sidewalls can permit limited continued driving after a loss of pressure. The permitted speed and distance depend on the manufacturer; a pressure monitoring system is normally required.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Reliable summer rubber
Fine for the price. Slightly more road noise than I hoped on coarse asphalt. Ordered online, fitted locally. Took a few hundred km to bed in.

Quiet and comfortable
My mechanic recommended Bridgestone and he was right. Quiet, stable, no complaints.

Okay for everyday driving
Grip when pulling away on wet junctions is much better than my old tyres. Took a few hundred km to bed in.

Does the job well
Reliable summer rubber. No surprises, which is exactly what I want. A sensible buy. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Okay for everyday driving
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Potenza S 001 RFT grips well on dry roads. The car feels more stable in crosswinds since fitting these.

Does the job well
Solid everyday tyre. Nothing flashy, but it does everything I ask of it. Stable and precise in summer heat.
