What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

Solid summer tyre
Bought on price, staying for the quality. The Turanza 6 punches above its weight. Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.

Nice upgrade
Comfortable over rough surfaces. My old set used to thump over every bump. For this price I didn't expect much, but the Turanza 6 genuinely surprised me.
