Description

You can´t control the weather but you can be prepared

Each season brings its own weather conditions, which have varying effects on road surfaces – in some places to a far greater extent than others. Depending on the time of year, your car might need a different set of tyres, which also means two tyre changes a year.

But for drivers in milder climates, there’s an alternative. An easier, more efficient, and safer alternative. An all-season alternative. Our new AllSeasonContact 2 combines the vital characteristics of both summer and winter tyres, preparing you for every season with state-of-the-art technology.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Quiet and comfortable
Second set of Continental on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.

Recommended
Fine for the price. Slightly more road noise than I hoped on coarse asphalt.

Good, not perfect
Fitted before a long road trip. Comfortable at motorway speeds and felt safe in heavy rain.

Great value for money
Handles standing water better than my previous set. Feel much safer in autumn rain.
