What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

Does the job well
Good in town and on the motorway alike. Versatile tyre. Brakes hard and straight, no pulling. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Worth the money
My mechanic recommended Continental and he was right. Quiet, stable, no complaints. For this price I didn't expect much, but the CrossContact LX Sport genuinely surprised me.

Does the job well
Good tyre overall. Would have liked a bit more feedback through the steering. Steering response improved straight away after fitting. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Had these through a full season now. Wear is minimal and performance hasn't dropped. Does exactly what a summer tyre should. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.
