Description

ContiEcoContact™ 5 – perfect for safe, fuel efficient driving.

Optimised rolling resistance for reduced fuel consumption
High braking safety and short braking distances on wet roads
Best handling on wet and dry roads

Combining short braking distances on wet and dry roads with low rolling resistance has in the past always been considered extremely problematic. Europe's leading tyre manufacturer Continental has now launched a product which resolves this problem with apparent ease - the new ContiEcoContact 5. The tyre engineers did, however, have to tread new ground in terms of all the tire elements involved - casing, compound, tire contour and tread pattern design - in order to achieve the high level of progress.

Rolling resistance: This state-of-the-art tyre is perfect for motorists who drive long distances. Braking: The design of the tyre improves grip in the wet, giving you safety when braking.

Pleasantly surprised
Fine for the price. Slightly more road noise than I hoped on coarse asphalt.

Good, not perfect
Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate. Switched from a budget brand to the EcoContact 5 — the difference in braking is obvious.

Quiet and comfortable
Decent tyre at a fair price. Tread pattern clears water well. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Very happy with these
Had these through a full season now. Wear is minimal and performance hasn't dropped.
