Safety Silica Compounds:

The crystal silica composition enables superior braking performance especially in terms of wet road conditions. While keeping the safety performance at the maximum level, the mileage improved significantly – a solved conflict in tyre development.

Extended driving convenience updated by the comfort-optimized performance footprint:

The wear-fine-tuned polymer blend delivers an excellent improvement of more than 15% in mileage performance. In addition, the smooth pattern stiffness improves driving comfort and mileage, and lowers the exterior noise.

Enhanced handling thanks to fine-tuned pattern design:

The advanced macro-block design ensures maximum control and cornering stability. Furthermore, the asymmetric rib geometry delivers a better grip under the effect of lateral forces.

The tyre features the SSR system (Self-Supporting Run-Flat Tyre). Should a puncture occur, you can continue to drive up to 80 kilometres, at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, by modifying your driving style. Only possible with a functionable air pressure check system.

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.
RFT: Run-flat technologyReinforced sidewalls can permit limited continued driving after a loss of pressure. The permitted speed and distance depend on the manufacturer; a pressure monitoring system is normally required.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Great on the motorway
Second set of Continental on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. For this price I didn't expect much, but the PremiumContact 6 SSR genuinely surprised me.

Braking feels secure
Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Tyres themselves are great. Good in town and on the motorway alike. Stable and precise in summer heat.
