What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Does exactly what a summer tyre should. Happy with the purchase. Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Stable and precise in summer heat. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.

Ride comfort is the standout. Long journeys feel less tiring now. Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set. No squirm even on hot asphalt. Not the last word in steering feel.
