What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

Continental delivers again
Good tyre overall. Would have liked a bit more feedback through the steering. Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate. Holds well in snow and slush.

Had them fitted last month. Wet grip is confidence-inspiring and they look the part too. Good winter tyre for the money. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama.

Pleasantly surprised
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The WinterContact TS 870 grips well on dry roads. Holds well in snow and slush. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.
