Thanks to Hankook's iON INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY, the iON GT has pushed the limits to bridge the gaps between grip performance, noise, and tread wear.

Even Tread Wear - Round Even:

Tyres equipped on electric vehicles wear out approximately 20% faster with uneven wear than on ICE vehicles. The iON GT achieves uniform contact pressure by optimising contact structure through Round Even Technology. The iON GT delivers longer usage and less frequent replacement.

Extended Tread Life - Opti Tread:

Abnormal wear prevented by optimising individual pattern block stiffness.

New Profile for Wear:

New profile is applied for wear by increasing contact width. New pattern is applied with fine-tuned contact ratio.

Further Reduced Rolling Resistance - Opti Cure Technology:

The iON GT achieved the highest grade of LRR performance by applying Opti Cure Technology which improves all parts of the tyre equally.

Power Reserve:

Optimised tyre gauge with advanced structure design.

Noise Guard (Cornhusk patent technology):

Realising tyre noise reduction through patterns, structure and tests. The corn husk surface structure with superior acoustic performance applied to the grooves to disperse noise.

Minimised Tread Pattern Noise - Opti Pitch Technology:

Tyre noise can be drastically lower by optimising the pitch sequence. The iON GT has fine-tuned the number and size of pitches to listen more to what matters.

ProGrip Compound:

Achieved higher wet surface grip by combining high-density silica with innovative eco-friendly materials. Wet Grip: max 5% higher.

Improved Cornering Stability - Grip Boost Technology:

It is essential to improve tyre stiffness to bear the weight of electric vehicles. Grip Boost Technology increases cornering stiffness by 10% to improve the electric vehicle’s handling performance. Cornering Stiffness Increased 10%.

Enhanced Steering at High Speeds - Aramid Hybrid Reinforcement Belt:

    Very happy with these

    Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Tyres themselves are great. Stable and precise in summer heat.

    Great value for money

    Good in town and on the motorway alike. Versatile tyre. Driven about 3,000 km on these so far. Took a few hundred km to bed in.
