What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.

A step up from my old set
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Road Venture AT52 grips well on dry roads. Stable and precise in summer heat. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.

Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set. For this price I didn't expect much, but the Road Venture AT52 genuinely surprised me. No squirm even on hot asphalt. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.
