Special characteristicsMud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
Speed indexThe speed index indicates the maximum approved speed.T (max. 190 km/h)
Load indexThe load index indicates the maximum load capacity per tyre.75 (max. 387 kg)
This keeps the rubber of the Wintercraft WP52+ flexible even in cold temperatures for high traction, better stability and increased safety on snowy roads.
Wet handling and braking:
Braking:
Interlocking 3D sipes: the new tread pattern with a high density of multiple sipes increases block stiffness, guarantees better grip on snow and improves handling in all winter conditions.
High-strength tread structure: the double-layer structure improves driving stability at high speeds and handling.
High-strength/ultra-light cord insert, optimized tread stiffness and an enlarged contact patch ensure excellent driving stability.
Suitability for electric vehicles:
Tread design:
Sidewall design:
Enhanced handling and braking in wet conditions
Optimal contact area: the fine-tuned contact pressure of the Wintercraft WP52+ has been developed to reduce irregular tread wear and premature abrasion of the shoulder blocks while maintaining driving comfort.
Tread reinforcement: the use of high-strength steel belts improves durability, prevents tread deformation and minimises movement while driving.
Improved braking performance: thanks to a new, cross-linked polymer raw material with high viscosity and hysteresis, the tyre offers better grip on all road surfaces and improved braking performance.
Increased driving safety on snow-covered roads
EV rubber compound: the use of an EV-specific compound has resulted in a 10% improvement in wear and a 5% reduction in rolling resistance.
Snow ejection system: the optimised design in the centre of the tread reduces snow adhesion to guarantee stability on snow-covered roads.
Special rubber compound with natural oil: Kumho's special winter rubber compound, which contains sunflower oil, among other ingredients, has greater elasticity, which improves traction.
Kumho Tyres' unique diamond-shaped surface pattern resembles stylised snow crystals, visually implying the tyre's winter suitability. Winter suitability on snowy and wet roads is particularly emphasised by the ‘snowflake’ design motif.
Tread wear indicator: The hourglass shape of the wear indicator makes it easy to check tread wear and the remaining tyre performance in snow.
‘HL’ sizes available - developed for heavy EVs. According to ETRTO, high load tyres (HL) are extra load tyres designed to carry a higher load at the same reference pressure.
K-Sipe Control (3D sipes): Kumho Tyre's 3D SIPE technology (K SIPE CONTROL) is used to effectively transfer braking and driving forces to the road surface. This ensures optimum handling and braking performance even in emergency situations.
EV compatible
Use of high-strength carcass layers: the use of high-strength polyester threads in the construction of the tyre carcass improves stability when driving at high speeds.

Quality you can feel
Ride comfort is the standout. Long journeys feel less tiring now. Would recommend to anyone after a dependable winter tyre without overspending. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama.

Reliable winter rubber
Switched from a budget brand to the WinterCraft WP52+ — the difference in braking is obvious. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama.

Kumho delivers again
Does the job, nothing more. For daily commuting it's perfectly fine. Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. Holds well in snow and slush.

Worth the money
Very quiet on tarmac. The WinterCraft WP52+ made my commute noticeably more relaxed. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.

Strong performer
Solid everyday tyre. Nothing flashy, but it does everything I ask of it. Grip in corners is reassuring and the steering feels a bit sharper than before.
