What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Strong performer
A sensible buy. Not sporty, but safe and quiet. Good summer tyre for the money. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Trusted Laufenn quality
Switched from a budget brand to the S Fit 2 LK12 — the difference in braking is obvious. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.

Smooth ride
Grip in corners is reassuring and the steering feels a bit sharper than before. Fine for the price.

Impressed so far
Third car I've run on Laufenn. Consistent quality every time. Driven about 3,000 km on these so far. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Fitted and forgotten
Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Tyres themselves are great. No squirm even on hot asphalt.
