What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

Braking feels secure
Switched from a budget brand to the Snowproof C — the difference in braking is obvious. Felt secure on icy morning roads.

Happy with the purchase
Fine for the price. Slightly more road noise than I hoped on coarse asphalt. Holds well in snow and slush. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.

Would buy again
Ride comfort is the standout. Long journeys feel less tiring now. Solid everyday tyre. Holds well in snow and slush.

Good grip in the wet
Fine for the price. Slightly more road noise than I hoped on coarse asphalt. Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.

Fine tyre, minor niggles
Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set. Good winter tyre for the money. Holds well in snow and slush.
