What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.

Fine tyre, minor niggles
My mechanic recommended Optimo and he was right. Quiet, stable, no complaints. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.

Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Very quiet on tarmac.

Worth the money
Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Tyres themselves are great. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.
