What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Happy with the purchase
Good all-season tyre for the money. Rolling noise is low and braking feels predictable. Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.

Quality you can feel
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Scorpion All Season SF3 grips well on dry roads. Switched from a budget brand to the Scorpion All Season SF3 — the difference in braking is obvious. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.

Fine tyre, minor niggles
Brakes hard and straight, no pulling. Very reassuring. Fine for the price. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year.
