Pirelli Scorpion Winter 2 Seal Inside 255/40 R21 102V

What the tyre markings mean

XL

Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.

M+S

Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.

3PMSF

Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

EV

Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

Rim protection

Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Seal

Self-sealing technologyA sealing layer inside the tyre can close certain small punctures in the tread area. Its limits vary by manufacturer and a damaged tyre should still be inspected.
