New compounds and new sipe design have been used introducing the latest technological features. Furthermore, Winter Sottozero™ 3 has been co-developed with premium and prestige OEMs.
Run Flat – No pressure drive
The Pirelli Self Supporting system presents specific reinforcements inserted into the sidewall’s structure.
Pirelli Run Flat tyres support lateral and transverse loads of the vehicle even in the absence of pressure.
What the tyre markings mean
- XL
- Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.

My mechanic recommended Pirelli and he was right. Quiet, stable, no complaints. Bought on price, staying for the quality. Took a few hundred km to bed in.

Fine tyre, minor niggles
Fitted them at a mate's garage. Straightforward job and they've been faultless since. Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.
