What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Great value for money
Driven about 3,000 km on these so far. Wear looks even and grip is consistent. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.

A step up from my old set
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Dimax 4 Season grips well on dry roads. Handles standing water better than my previous set.
