What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

A step up from my old set
Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in.

Worth the money
Wet braking is excellent. Gave me real confidence on a flooded motorway stretch. A sensible buy. Stable and precise in summer heat. Not the last word in steering feel.

Fine tyre, minor niggles
Brakes hard and straight, no pulling. Very reassuring. Comfortable over rough surfaces.

Reliable summer rubber
Handles standing water better than my previous set. Feel much safer in autumn rain.

Strong performer
Does the job, nothing more. For daily commuting it's perfectly fine. A sensible buy. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Reliable summer rubber
Decent tyre at a fair price. Tread pattern clears water well. For this price I didn't expect much, but the TQ025 genuinely surprised me.
