What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Good, not perfect
Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set. Does the job, nothing more. Felt secure on icy morning roads. Not the last word in steering feel.

Okay for everyday driving
Fitted before a long road trip. Comfortable at motorway speeds and felt safe in heavy rain.

Quiet and comfortable
Early days, but first impressions are very good. Smooth and quiet. Reliable winter rubber.

Happy with the purchase
Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate. Decent tyre at a fair price. Felt secure on icy morning roads.

Tristar delivers again
For this price I didn't expect much, but the Snowpower Van genuinely surprised me.

Great value for money
Steering response improved straight away after fitting. Very pleased. Fitted them at a mate's garage. Holds well in snow and slush.
