Description

Uniroyal has opted for an asymmetrical tread pattern that ensures rapid water dispersion when driving in the rain and provides safe handling on dry roads. As in its sporty relative, the RainSport 3, the rain tire developers have opted for Shark Skin Technology that ensures faster displacement of water from under the contact patch. This is accompanied by a flow-fine-tuned tread structure and a tread compound developed for strong wet grip.

In both braking and handling in the wet, the new RainExpert 3 provides a four percent improvement over its predecessor, while recording a five percent improvement in rolling resistance and in even wear.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Great on the motorway
Brakes hard and straight, no pulling. Very reassuring. Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate.

Handles standing water better than my previous set. Feel much safer in autumn rain. Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Stable and precise in summer heat.
