What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Solid choice
Balanced and predictable. Exactly how a tyre should feel. Had them fitted last month.

Great value for money
Had these through a full season now. Wear is minimal and performance hasn't dropped. No squirm even on hot asphalt. Took a few hundred km to bed in.

Would buy again
A sensible buy. Not sporty, but safe and quiet. Early days, but first impressions are very good. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Fair tyre for the money
Good balance of comfort and handling. Would buy again. Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in.

Worth the money
For this price I didn't expect much, but the Advan dB V552 genuinely surprised me. A sensible buy. Stable and precise in summer heat.
