What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Good grip in the wet
For this price I didn't expect much, but the Advan Neova AD09 genuinely surprised me. Stable and precise in summer heat. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.

Does the job well
Had them fitted last month. Wet grip is confidence-inspiring and they look the part too. Third car I've run on Yokohama.

Nice upgrade
Fine for the price. Slightly more road noise than I hoped on coarse asphalt.

Strong performer
Bought a full set of Yokohama for the family car. Comfortable ride and no drama in the rain. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Does what it says
Second set of Yokohama on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Great on the motorway
Switched from a budget brand to the Advan Neova AD09 — the difference in braking is obvious. A sensible buy.
