What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Good winter tyre for the money. Rolling noise is low and braking feels predictable. Felt secure on icy morning roads.

Reliable winter rubber
Fitted before a long road trip. Comfortable at motorway speeds and felt safe in heavy rain. Wet braking is excellent. Felt secure on icy morning roads.

Worth the money
For this price I didn't expect much, but the BluEarth-Winter (V905) genuinely surprised me. Switched from a budget brand to the BluEarth-Winter (V905) — the difference in braking is obvious.
