What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Quiet and comfortable
Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Reliable summer rubber
Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Tyres themselves are great. For this price I didn't expect much, but the Geolandar A/T G015 genuinely surprised me.

Impressed so far
Second set of Yokohama on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in.
