What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

A step up from my old set
Very quiet on tarmac. The RW211 made my commute noticeably more relaxed. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.

Better than expected
Bought on price, staying for the quality. The RW211 punches above its weight. Good balance of comfort and handling. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

A step up from my old set
Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Steering response improved straight away after fitting.
