The tire is produced by a tire manufacturer with many years of experience in the tire production. The Austone SP401 is manufactured in a technologically advanced way and underlies strict qualities controls in each manufacturing step. Developed for a versatile use with best driving characteristics, the standards of quality become visible in every tire detail.

The Austone SP401 fulfils all requirements and standards of the European markets and offers an unbeatable price-performance-ratio at the same time.

The advantages of Austone SP401:

Optimized V-shaped thread with separate summer part (shoulder) and winter part (central & slats)
Superb protection against aquaplaning
The 3D-slats-technology offers ideal grip at winder conditions

What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Very quiet on tarmac. The SP 401 made my commute noticeably more relaxed.

Does what it says
Bought a full set of Austone for the family car. Comfortable ride and no drama in the rain. Reliable summer rubber. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Very happy with these
Fitted them at a mate's garage. Straightforward job and they've been faultless since. Does exactly what a summer tyre should. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Strong performer
Very quiet on tarmac. The SP 401 made my commute noticeably more relaxed. Had these through a full season now. Took a few hundred km to bed in.

Good, not perfect
Does the job, nothing more. For daily commuting it's perfectly fine. Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set.
