Description

Good braking performance on snow:

Optimised for winter conditions, the tread pattern guarantees safe driving and short braking distances on snow-covered roads.

Precise handling in dry conditions:

The tyre convinces by its stability. This results in precise vehicle handling and short braking distances on dry roads.

Effective protection against aquaplaning:

High driving safety and effective protection against aquaplaning are also achieved on wet roads.

What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Smooth ride
Ordered online, fitted locally. The tyres themselves have been faultless so far.

Good grip in the wet
Grip in corners is reassuring and the steering feels a bit sharper than before. Fine for the price. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Would buy again
Good balance of comfort and handling. Would buy again. Switched from a budget brand to the Quartaris 5 — the difference in braking is obvious. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Smooth ride
Does the job, nothing more. For daily commuting it's perfectly fine. Third car I've run on Barum. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Pleasantly surprised
Reliable summer rubber. No surprises, which is exactly what I want. Balanced and predictable.
