Description

The Turanza T005 is designed to help keep control even under difficult driving conditions. The tyre offers first-class braking and cornering characteristics even on rainy days, combined with high mileage.

Fine-tuned pattern design:

High volume slots in shoulder enhance water flow and fine-tuned distribution of void in centre part of the pattern ensures water drainage in centre contact. Increased resistance to deformation thanks to connections between shoulder blocks ensuring an even contact on shoulders while braking.

Improved carcass:

The unique steel and stiff polyester reinforcement ensure a superior handling and a reduced rolling resistance in order to reduce CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.

New compound mixing technology:

New mixing technology improves silica dispersion in Nano Pro-tech™ high silica content compound.Synergy of pattern & compound maximises adhesion in the footprint to enhance wet grip.

This tyre uses the RFT system. This means that, should there be a sudden loss of air, the tyre can still be controlled without any problems, mobility is retained, and it is not necessary to change the tyre on narrow or busy roads. Tyres with the RFT technology may only be used on cars with a functioning air pressure check system.

Outstanding wet adhesion
Superb label grades
Superior wear life

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
RFT: Run-flat technologyReinforced sidewalls can permit limited continued driving after a loss of pressure. The permitted speed and distance depend on the manufacturer; a pressure monitoring system is normally required.

Fair tyre for the money
Steering response improved straight away after fitting. Very pleased. Grip when pulling away on wet junctions is much better than my old tyres. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Quiet and comfortable
Good summer tyre for the money. Rolling noise is low and braking feels predictable. Reliable summer rubber.

Bridgestone delivers again
Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set. No squirm even on hot asphalt.
