Safety:

The complexity of the technology used on new Continental tyres increases from generation to generation. The ContiSportContact™ 3 has asymmetric belts, which allow extremely precise steering response and excellent safety when driving in a sporty manner.

Braking:

The tyre has an fine-tuned groove concept with a larger volume. This improves the acceptance of forces generated during braking and significantly increases water absorption. This results in a higher braking performance in dry and wet conditions, as well as outstanding resistance to aquaplaning.

Stability:

Thanks to the unique tread design, based on the circumferential tread bands, the tyre has an optimal ground contact area in any driving situation. This gives the vehicle good directional stability during quick cornering and at high speeds.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Worth the money
Good summer tyre for the money. Rolling noise is low and braking feels predictable. Does exactly what a summer tyre should. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Strong performer
Grip when pulling away on wet junctions is much better than my old tyres. Switched from a budget brand to the SportContact 3 — the difference in braking is obvious. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.
