What the tyre markings mean
- XL
- Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
- M+S
- Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
- 3PMSF

A step up from my old set

Good winter tyre for the money. Rolling noise is low and braking feels predictable. Handles standing water better than my previous set. Holds well in snow and slush. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.
