Description

All winter tyres are the same. Until the streets turn white.

With the invention of the first tyre with a tread-design in 1904, we created the basis for today’s tyre technology. Since then we have constantly improved the performance of our tyres from year to year. And although you probably won’t see the difference, you will definitely experience what makes the new WinterContact so outstanding.

Cover long distances with low fuel consumption.
Stay in lane with superb wet braking and aquaplaning resistance.
Keep cool and enjoy ideal control on snowy and icy road.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

Okay for everyday driving
Ordered online, fitted locally. The tyres themselves have been faultless so far.

Recommended
Had them fitted last month. Wet grip is confidence-inspiring and they look the part too. Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Took a few hundred km to bed in.

Strong performer
Had these through a full season now. Wear is minimal and performance hasn't dropped. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama.
