What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Worth the money
Would recommend to anyone after a dependable all-season tyre without overspending. Grip in corners is reassuring and the steering feels a bit sharper than before. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year.

Does the job well
Brakes hard and straight, no pulling. Very reassuring. Third car I've run on Event Tyre. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year.

Smooth ride
Driven about 3,000 km on these so far. Wear looks even and grip is consistent.

Great on the motorway
Driven about 3,000 km on these so far. Wear looks even and grip is consistent. Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.

Handles well
Fitted before a long road trip. Comfortable at motorway speeds and felt safe in heavy rain.

Fine tyre, minor niggles
Ride comfort is the standout. Long journeys feel less tiring now. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.
