What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Braking feels secure
Solid everyday tyre. Nothing flashy, but it does everything I ask of it. Bought on price, staying for the quality.

Quality you can feel
A sensible buy. Not sporty, but safe and quiet. Ordered online, fitted locally. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.

Very happy with these
Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Good all-season tyre for the money.

A step up from my old set
Third car I've run on Falken. Consistent quality every time.
