What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Would buy again
Fitted before a long road trip. Comfortable at motorway speeds and felt safe in heavy rain. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama. Took a few hundred km to bed in.

Great on the motorway
Second set of Falken on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. Reliable winter rubber.

Impressed so far
Second set of Falken on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. For this price I didn't expect much, but the Eurowinter HS02 PRO genuinely surprised me.
