Description

High-performance SUV tyre

For SUVs and off-road vehicles
Excellent aquaplaning characteristics
Excellent handling and braking characteristics on wet and dry roads
The latest highly dispersible micro silica tread compound

M+S marking for mud and snow
Reinforced XL construction for higher load capacity
Integrated rim protection strip against kerb damage

The tread design focuses on balanced performance in warm weather — predictable cornering, secure braking and even wear over the season.

Like all tyres in our range, this model meets the applicable European safety and labelling standards and is produced under strict quality control.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Good all-rounder
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Crugen HP71 grips well on dry roads.

Does what it says
Had them fitted last month. Wet grip is confidence-inspiring and they look the part too. Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.

Good, not perfect
Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Early days, but first impressions are very good. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.

Great value for money
Fitted before a long road trip. Comfortable at motorway speeds and felt safe in heavy rain. Stable and precise in summer heat.
