What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

Decent tyre at a fair price. Tread pattern clears water well. Good all-season tyre for the money. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year.

Great on the motorway
Bought on price, staying for the quality. The MP62 All Weather EVO punches above its weight. They're okay. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.

Great on the motorway
Handles standing water better than my previous set. Feel much safer in autumn rain. My mechanic recommended Matador and he was right. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.
