The new winter tires VANSMART family is designed from the ground up. The new silica tread compound enhances the label values ??for rolling resistance and wet braking performance enormously. The three-stepped Micro grooves which cover the tires, thus allowing an perfect teeth of the tire with the road, even in the most extreme winter weather. M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

A step up from my old set
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Vansmart Snow grips well on dry roads. Fine for the price. Not the last word in steering feel.
