What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Happy with the purchase
Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set. Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Stable and precise in summer heat.

No complaints so far
Grip when pulling away on wet junctions is much better than my old tyres. Fitted them at a mate's garage. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Very happy with these
Bought on price, staying for the quality. The VI-782 AS punches above its weight. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Smooth ride
Second set of Ovation on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. Ride comfort is the standout. No squirm even on hot asphalt. Took a few hundred km to bed in.
