What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Second set of Petlas on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. Does the job, nothing more.

Great value for money
Good tyre overall. Would have liked a bit more feedback through the steering. Felt secure on icy morning roads.

Good all-rounder
Steering response improved straight away after fitting. Very pleased. Comfortable over rough surfaces. Not the last word in steering feel.
