Petlas SnowMaster 2 Sport – High performance on Snow

SnowMaster 2 Sport is a high performance winter tire developed to offer short braking distances and superior handling on snowy roads and a comfortable ride on dry roads.

3 circumferential channels provide superior snow and water evacuation at high speeds.
Thanks to its special asymmetric tread pattern, it offers fine-tuned performance in winter and in different road conditions.
It offers superior cornering safety and wear resistance in turns, thanks to its wider outer side than its inner side and its reinforced blocks by connecting to each other.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Does exactly what a winter tyre should. Happy with the purchase. Comfortable over rough surfaces. Holds well in snow and slush. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.
